Episode 148
The word that immediately came to mind when I heard your analogy of relationship and dancing, was “tandem”: “Tandem describes an arrangement where people are in formation, one behind the other; In tandem" can just mean "together" — like two departments working in tandem on a project.” I love dancing with a partner, and my best experiences have been with partners that lead strong. I’ve never realized how close the comparison between a relationship and dancing is. In business and with dancing, I’ve alway pride myself that I am a great follower, but I’ve never applied it to a relationship, probably because I’ve never felt comfortable with the man’s ability to lead our relationship. Letting go of control and handing over the reigns to someone, demands a huge amount of trust from the person who is letting go. 09:26 The frame - there is nothing more glorious / liberating than “draping” yourself over man’s “frame” / surrendering to his lead, having the confidence in him to not let you fall, and to trust him to bring you back home safely “Silent communication” is one of the sexiest types of communication there is.
