Vocal fry
I hate to pile on but I couldn’t get through the first episode due to the vocal fry. In most professions it’s probably unfair to judge a performance on voice but in the case of a podcast I think it is very fair territory. The story is good, engaging, and flows well from what I heard.

The vocal fry is a bit challenging to listen to.

Content is great, narration is hard to get past… I have to remind myself to just focus on what is being said, not how it is spoken. Too bad that it takes so much away from the story.

Good reporting, but the voice of the narrator is very difficult to listen to. The tone and cadence is like an annoyed teenager. I’d rather read this story in print to avoid hearing her voice.
