Excellent reporting, powerful storytelling
Meribah Knight uses her award winning storytelling to tell an extremely important story we all need to hear. The amount of research and investigation that clearly went into this piece is staggering. Knight is an investigative journalist, not a “narrator” and critiquing her voice and ignoring her brilliant work is short sighted at best.

This is so trivial, but I was quickly annoyed with the narrator slowly frying her voice. Great story, a story I would rather hear a Black person tell. I’m not sure I can finish the season. It’s a podcast, so storytelling, voice and enunciation is part of the story, so it’s hard to get past that.

The way the narrator is speaking is so irritating it makes it hard to want to continue to listen.

This is an important and very compelling story. Grateful that it is being told. Unfortunately, Meribah Knight's exaggerated, elitist, vocal fry makes it completely impossible to listen to this podcast. I will learn more through research and reading, not by continuing to listen.Read full review »
