Found this from listening to The Teacher’s Pet, but this is epic! The best ever. Why are Ozzy true crime podcasts so good? Highly recommended, my heart goes out to Sally for the shameful treatment by NSW Police. Hoping for a satisfactory outcome as only up to episode 45, but finding it hard not...Read full review »

Firstly, I’d like to extend my sympathies to Marion, and her family. I have never written a review of any kind but felt compelled in this case. This is literally the worst podcast I have ever attempted to listen to. Endless repetition, needless commentary, and worst of all, examples of gutter...Read full review »

Roller coaster ride of a mystery. Amazing twist it takes with the help of listeners. Hoping Sally gets closure soon.

At it best, it is quite a podcast. Sometimes, however, you have the feeling they fluff it up unnecessarily. One struggles to understand, for example, the point of the long readings of the suspect’s letters to another woman. We know he is a liar, we know he has no shame, let’s get on with it. ...Read full review »

Listened to all episodes til its end in 2023. How it unfolded and what unfolded is mindblowing.

I like long-form investigative pods, and this is definitely that. I listened after the pod ended rather than as it went along. It’s clear the makers put together the first few eps, followed some leads, produced some leads and waited to see if it took off. And it took off. There’s obviously a lot...Read full review »

The actual ‘episodes’ are fascinating but the ‘conversations’ are repetitive and not worth enduring
trinnappy via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 06/10/24
So much repetitive information and interviews with unimportant people just proposing theories. This could have been edited down to like six strong episodes. I honestly skipped stuff bc it dragged so much.

This podcast shows a daughters enduring love for her Mum. Sally, Brian and Alison take us on a journey to find out what happened to Sallys Mum. No stone is left unturned . A incredible and heartbreaking story of a daughter love.

This podcast may have worked better in real time. When I found it, wasn't totally over but most episodes had dropped and the inquest episodes I found especially tedious and while I appreciate the accuracy they were going for with the French-accented suspects and witnesses, it became...Read full review »

Maybe the journalists can kill some darlings and make a new series with the existing content, of maximum 20 episodes of an hour.. less is really more. There was so much repetition and re-telling I started to fast forward bits… and that is a shame because the journalists and sleuths have found...Read full review »

Listened from near the beginning, can’t believe it’s five years, finally just finished listening today. An unbelievable story.

Ok
It’s good up to the point where Blum begins to testify, then it’s deadly boring.

This podcast was so well done so amazing and wow, what twist and turns I love how all through it you acknowledge the people that are helping and created such a loving community of support

Hope you all feel a sense of accomplishment today. Hard to hear Marion has been pronounced deceased, but it’s the way forward. I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to this amazing team. Sally deserved an army of warriors behind her and you were that for her and continue to be. Justice must be served for Marion and for Sally and family.

I don’t know because I stopped listening at episode 11. I was too frustrated. The episodes were very long and repetitive, containing precious little (if any) new content. I was left with the impression the presenters were either trying to buy time, or they thought their audience was too stupid to...Read full review »

Caring, probing, professional. Sally’s quest for answers to the disappearance of her mother Marion has been immeasurably helped by the podcast. Great job at telling this story and getting real results for Marion! It’s a shame sally isn’t letting you continue, especially when it’s really this podcast that has driven the authorities to take action and the team provided support and a lot of help to her in her search.

Do you think Marion has BPD? This disorder can leave family members totally at a loss for the BPD sufferer “abandoning” them. Sally and her brother have been “abandoned” by Marion. The prior behaviours that Marion engaged in with marriages and divorces and constantly moving house could be a...Read full review »

I made it through every episode and conversation until Episode 15 (“Progress”). The phone calls to Remakel are infuriating and actually painful to listen to, due to the language barrier and the podcast’s absolutely tactless approach. I gave up. I’m sorry to say but the outcome of this case was obvious from about episode 2. Ch7 hoping to get their foot in the podcast door with this story. They don’t have the podcast ‘esq’ style most regular uses of podcasts are used to. Great Podcast. The audio could be a bit better, very hard to hear some things! Half way through and now its telling me each episode I click on is unavailable? I’m absolutely engrossed with this podcast! My heart goes out to Sally; what a strong inspiring SHERO!! I can’t begin to imagine what all this has been like for her. Sally we’re all rooting for you! It’s clear from the very start that no one cared about a middle aged woman who had been divorced, and just assumed she wanted to start a new life potentially with a new man…it’s sad to see comments that still think this. A lot of podcasters make the mistake in believing people want more, more, more. Where is the value-add in reading transcripts of court proceedings? Far too many episodes and detail, had to switch off. Wish those involved well but no quality to this content in the end.

So, so repetitive. Reminding us of things in episodes 20 and beyond, such as Marion’s new name, is so irritating. Were they concerned we had missed the prior 2000 other times it had been mentioned?
