Fantastique!
I don't have any particular affinity for French history, but what I do love is a good story and this podcast offers that commodity in spades. Diana is a great storyteller. She is able to plumb the depths of French history and emerge with a juicy tale or untold perspective that is sure to entertain and inform in equal measure. While the podcast is limited to French history, and usually involves Paris and Parisians, a wide variety of topics are covered from the popularization of escargot, to the Olympics, to the horrible fate of a poor man named Dryfus, and more. If you are in search of a good history podcast, love French culture, or simply love a good story as I do, please give this podcast a listen.Read full review »

I was searching for a new history podcast and I stumbled across this wonderful podcasst. Love that Diana is serious, but not too serious. Its not linear, but it is in the vein of China History Podcast, where she takes various topics and expounds on them. Well done.
