Good show but needs sound design
I love this show simply because I love learning about Paris. I like to listen as I'm cooking, or doing other things. However the problem is that because it's all words with background music, I have to make a mental effort to listen consciously and visualize what the speaker is saying. I think it would be much better if there was sound design. Then the sound would be *there* and I wouldn't have to imagine a hammer being thrown or whatever is there instead. This helps me listen sort of half-consciously and still understand. Without sound design it just isn't as real as it could be. The sound design doesn't need to be literal. It could be metaphoric as in Radiolab or sometimes in Love + Radio.Read full review »
