There’s not been an episode that I haven’t learned something new that’s piqued my interest into further research. The content is always relatable and most time, easily applied in a classroom or school setting. Thank you so much for making research available to those doing the daily work!

I enjoyed listening whilst gardening and then used the ideas to include in my planning for next academic year. I like the fact that it is science based rather than a ideological viewpoint on education and how to help learners. Thank you.

Very informative. Well organized. Not like some pedantic academics. Effective communication, their students are lucky to have them. Thank you!

I love this podcast!!! As a parent of young children, I am so glad I found the LS site and podcast. Now I know the importance of teaching children how to learn and best retain information. Fantastic podcast with very engaging content. What’s more, I can see how I would be able to incorporate some of these strategies (particularly about concrete and abstract thinking) into my own practice. Very useful and highly interesting look at the role of cognitive psychology in the classroom.

If there were a mantra I carry with me about learning, and always will, it will be “retrieval enhances learning”. It’s something that was always innate within my study practices, but I never thought about *why* it was effective. And being conscience of doing it makes it that much more effective!...Read full review »
