Every episode I’ve listened to has deeply moved me because of the honesty, and compassion that the hosts have for themselves and one another. As someone who was brought up in a closeted fundamentalist religion that taught me to fear my self, and other people, it’s heartwarming and life-affirming...Read full review »

This podcast helped me immensely on my deconstruction journey. Through Brady’s thoughtful, gentle, and humor-infused interviews, I was able to hear stories from others that helped me process my own experiences. I became a part of a community that I didn’t know existed and desperately needed. A...Read full review »

Brady likes to attack racial minorities and double down on his white supremacist behavior. He claims to have deconstructed from Evangelicalism but it is clear that he has not deconstructed from the white supremacy, sexism, lack of compassion and accountability that go with it.

Really important and informative podcast. Delivered with care, humour and compassion.

Brady puts his heart and soul into this podcast and the result is the support we all need as we deconstruct! Knowing we aren’t alone in the trauma we have all experienced, as well as learning ways to deal with said trauma is invaluable! If you grew up in a toxic religious environment, regardless...Read full review »

I identify so much with many of the storytellers. I had my deconstruction years ago but have never heard of anyone who had been through experiences similar to mine. This is such a breath of fresh air. It has been super helpful in working through my own past RT. Many therapists don’t understand...Read full review »

I’m so thankful to have for this podcast. When she said that women who have a strength of their own that doesn’t originate from men is dangerous to their fundamental Christianity (paraphrasing) I broke down in tears. The real cry. The ugly cry. I am just starting my journey into deconstructing....Read full review »

It’s annoying how often they interrupt guests and how long it takes them to get to the point. I was really looking forward to the episode that goes over mental health but couldn’t get through it. After listening for over thirty minutes, they barely touched the surface of Laura’s eating disorder....Read full review »

So much freedom-giving shared in each podcast, thank you friends. This welcomes listeners, me, into so much ah-ha’s about how entrenched and Christian-directed my life has been and still is. *ugh* Keep increasing your BIPOC guest-shares. I appreciate recognize that it’s needed.

Chuck, Brady, and the guests echo many similarities to my personal journey of deconstructions/deconversion from evangelicalism. The thoughtful, funny, and difficult stories and conversations have provided me with the vocabulary and freedom to describe my own story of deconversion.

I’ve recently deconverted and this was one of the first podcasts I found that addressed my needs and let me hear lots of voices from different backgrounds all on the same journey. I’m still working through tons of past episodes. Looking forward to what they’ll bring in the new year.
