I guess author thinks he can pad it out and win the audience with this reference. I lived in Byron for 8 months and walked through these forests. There are some very sketchy people in them. Theo put himself at great risk that night. But the young will do that. To suggest that he didn’t take drugs is rather naive. Drugs are taking Byron down.
