“Hidden gem. Best-kept secret in relationship advise podcast. Under-rated & over-looked. Would've rated it more than 5-stars if I could. How many more cliche'd phrases can be tossed into a review?
Here's the deal. If I could do more than use a 5-star rating and some corny alliteration to direct attention to Dr. Lisa's podcast, I would. Happily. I've been married a long time. 20+ years. 5 kids. All the torrid turbulence that goes with being married too young and trying to stick with it. (Who says "torrid" in real life? Seriously.) This podcast is the same flavor as everything Dr. Lisa is part of. (I know, because I've been fortunate to be a client of her practice for a few months.) Quit the silly, non-answers & cute, catchy phrases that our friends toss around. In real life, there's pain & plenty of problems that pat phrases don't patch. But there's also hope. Hope starting with honesty. Honestly looking. Hearing. Holding out your hand to have help handling heartache...healing. (Really. What's up with the alliteration? I don't even normally try for it...)
Summary: You'll find these podcasts enjoyable to listen to, but also refreshing, realistic and full of useful, practical insights that will give you the tools to become the "you" that you really want to be. Do just one. Don't be fooled by the fact that they're free. They are only free because Dr. Lisa is passionate about helping real people & making real change in YOUR life. If she charged what they were worth, we couldn't afford them.
