The women of Mag
Absolutely wonderful documentary 💕. Thank you so much for following your heart. I experienced a nuns cold heart following the birth of a son I was placing for adoption in 1976. “I should not see him!” She stated in the delivery room. I had a birth plan, lucky for me the younger woman who was my coach verified that with me. “I will be taking care of him while we are in the hospital,I raised up and stated from the delivery table! “ I even nursed my baby. I was put on a floor for those having female surgeries. I went down to the nursery for 4 days and spent all the time I could. Years later we reunited when he was 29. He completed suicide at 35. Adoption had taken a hard toll on him. The book, The girls that went away, is a similar story of pregnant women, many in their teens, who were mistreated by the Catholic Church. It’s almost as if they detested young women. Besides the raping/sexual abuse of young boys/men, it’s a wonder there is even a Catholic Church allowed to exist! They should be ashamed of the past!! They won’t honestly admit wrong doing in the harming of all they have done to mankind, in the name of God. Bless those who are speaking out! May you receive peace and understanding from all those around you. ❤️ Sally, Wisconsin USA.
