1996 the year the last laundry was closed. My goodness the way society has gotten away with the treatment women in this world. Shocking, heartbreaking and all in the name of god. This podcast will shock you. Easily listened to in a day.

Very emotional to listen too , sadness for these poor women, anger listening to the lies and excuses from the clergy, don’t listen in public wearing headphones , as you’ll find your swearing out loud

A dark chapter of our history brought to light. Incredibly hard to listen to the vile and deliberate mistreatment of these girls and women. But, listen we must, it is the very least we can do for the survivors, and for those who didn’t get the chance to tell their story. Filled with awe and pride...Read full review »

I listened to every episode in tears, so hard to listen to and so unbelievably sad! I’m not sure if the nuns or church were held accountable as it wasn’t mentioned so I don’t think they were which is absolutely shameful! I’ve never heard about the laundry’s until now 2024 and I hope this podcast...Read full review »

Absolutely wonderful documentary 💕. Thank you so much for following your heart. I experienced a nuns cold heart following the birth of a son I was placing for adoption in 1976. “I should not see him!” She stated in the delivery room. I had a birth plan, lucky for me the younger woman who was...Read full review »

This is a fantastic podcast, giving voice to women who were denied & gaslit over their search for justice. Can’t wait hear the next episode. So professionally documented & considerate of how these wonderful women were treated.

An important and informative podcast that looks at one of the Irish State’s greatest shames, and how one man led a group of survivors to fight for justice and recognition for the atrocities carried out by the church.
