Two thumbs up from Person on the Internet
I came across this podcast (somehow) after following Liz Bruenig - who would be a great guest! - and have been loving it so far. Coming from an Anabaptist background with a deep admiration for liberation theology and Dorothy Day (sorry guys), I've been learning a lot about how the Christian left and Christian leftists have engaged politics outside my own bubble of abiblical, affluent American liberalism. I especially appreciate the hosts' repeated emphasis on the value of going to church and being real with people in our communities, as well as joining political parties and movements, rather than just being People on the Internet. Yeah, it's hard for me, too. While the hosts' brand includes poor transitions from topic to topic, I'll push back a bit and say their audio transitions are actually pretty good (you know, the little do do do dooo bit). Keep it up, guys.Read full review »

In all seriousness: I left the faith 6 years ago, became an anti-theist and denounced religion. This show, while it didn’t reignite my faith, did reignite my conviction in the beauty of the good word and the power of religion to do good.
