“ManBuyCow and their podcast are rare gems for many reasons.
Firstly, the production value. Apart from Welcome to Nightvale I don't know of any other homegrown podcasts that sound so well put together. The editing is perfect and the sound effects and atmosphere that is built is professional radio quality. Just because you aren't paying for this podcast and ManBuyCow aren't TV or radio names doesn't mean you aren't getting something just as good, if not better.
Secondly, again, I compare it to Welcome to Nightvale as the only know competitor known to me in achieving such a high level of originality/imagination and skilled world-building. You really get something special with ManBuyCow that has you struggling to find something to compare it to. It is it's own thing and you're immediately sucked into this eccentric and strange world that is presented to you right from the beginning of episode one. The scenarios and situations are disconnected from our reality by quite a long way and yet they never feel 2D.
And of course, I have to mention what I should have really mentioned first: the comedy. ManBuyCow deliver laughs every time and on every re-listen, too. The sheer number of different elements showcased in the podcast, from songs, to original characters, to classic format jokes, to original absurd humour, to the many different one-off segments means there is bound to be at least one thing that illicits a chuckle from you, and with the talent of ManBuyCow, I'd be very surprised if it was only one thing that gets you giggling.
A brilliant podcast, and also a brilliant live act if you ever get the chance to see them.”Read full review »

“This made me laugh out loud a lot. The songs are great, the relationship between the two chief idiots is a joy and the cast of supporting characters is bizarre and always funny. I couldn’t wait for the next episode.”
