Meet Amanda Prifti, the co-founder of SeaSisters Sri Lanka, a passionate surfer and surf photographer. She originated from Boston, Massachusetts but later fell in love with the magical waters and humble culture of Sri Lanka. It was when she was writing her thesis that she had her first encounter with the Sri Lankan waters. Back home, her memories kept her connected to the wonderful world of surfing.

Jeff Hakman is a surfing legend and has an incredible life story. He is probably the person who has had the biggest influence in surfing the way we know it today. Born and raised in California, his family moved to Hawaii in the mid 50’s. Jeff, encouraged by his surfer dad rapidly became a top surfer of his generation. You could say Alexandra is a greek goddess: she is an artist and a therapist who runs a platform called Soul Surfer, a place for people to find wellness through meditation, workshops and coaching.

This week I got to sit down for a chat with Liv Hung. Liv is from Vancouver, her home spot is Tofino, BC but she recently co-founded an adventure experience for women called Noorish Tofino. I couldn't quite tell you where she is from as she has already moved 26 times since she was little, but when I got hold of her, she was in Oregon USA. George Bernard Shaw once said "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing" and this is exactly what my conversation with Felipe Pomar sparked in my mind. Felipe Pomar is a surfing icon and is listed in the Encyclopedia of Surfing as one of the most prominent surfers of his generation. His career in surfing started in the 60's.
