A Wonderful Gem
I stumbled upon this podcast while looking for some interesting Hollywood history . The podcast is basically the history of WAMPAS and the WAMPAS Baby Stars . Over a 12 year existence there were 144 WAMPAS Baby Stars . This podcast pays heed to those 144 Baby Stars , giving each about a few minutes of attention . It’s interesting! The keystone of this whole podcast is Marg Craig the narrator. She has a wonderful voice and reads her copy with interesting changes in pitch that makes the podcast fun . It’s a delight that has brightened my day . Well done Ms Craig

A wonderful deep dive into one of the first lines of “manufactured starlets” in Hollywood, the WAMPAS episodes have been exceptionally well researched, including asterisks for points of documentary uncertainty, and in turns sweet, sad, and (relative to the time period) scandalous. The host...Read full review »
