A great look at the sweet, seamy, and “secret” stories of Old Hollywood
A wonderful deep dive into one of the first lines of “manufactured starlets” in Hollywood, the WAMPAS episodes have been exceptionally well researched, including asterisks for points of documentary uncertainty, and in turns sweet, sad, and (relative to the time period) scandalous. The host brings both considerable knowledge and a good dose of humour to the subject, drawing parallels and connections to present-day phenomena, such as the latest of America’s perennial moral panics about portrayals of sexuality in media. I’m excited to see where the show goes from these great early episodes!

Love finding someone who loves Old Hollywood more than I do and I can learn from! Marg connects her social media to her podcast so we can see pictures of who she is talking about and gather more info. So excited that OH history gets to continue on through current day media! Give her a listen!
