I didn’t know how much I didn’t know
It’s a truism at this point that the 2020s mirror the 1920s, but this belies just how strange and alien those times were compared with now. I’ve watched a fair few silent films, but I never appreciated what it was to make them—or to be someone trying to make it in that world. The Old Movie Lady Podcast delves deep, not just back in time, but into the lives of these very compelling young women who made it, or didn’t—mostly didn’t—in a world that was only a decade or two out of the Wild West. The old world was dying and the new one struggled to be born. People had names like Derelys Perdue. I’m glad I know that now, and I’m glad I listen to this podcast.

Love finding someone who loves Old Hollywood more than I do and I can learn from! Marg connects her social media to her podcast so we can see pictures of who she is talking about and gather more info. So excited that OH history gets to continue on through current day media! Give her a listen!
