People's Pharmacy Food as Medicines
I love the People's Pharmacy and am happy I can listen to an episode I missed on the radio or would like to hear again. Their food as medicine tips have helped me concretely overcome 1) night time leg cramps with a teaspoon of mustard (results are immediate!) 2) brought my sugars to "normal" -- they were between 100 and 110-- with a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon a day (yum) 3) cured bloating and heart burn diagnosed by an MD as GERD with a 5 strain probiotic capsule and a glass of cultured kefir (no more Prilosec). Currently I am working on preventing or delaying the onset of macular degeneration which my opthamologist says I have and can do nothing about by eating daily kale and other lute in filled foods. People's Pharmacy really has changed my life for the better. I am disappointed that my French press unfiltered coffee causes higher bad cholesterol but it is good to know. Thanks!Read full review »
