Lots of good information for those who are interested in learning sustainable farming practices
Kevin Hepburn via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/16/24
Y’all have so much potential, but the valuable knowledge is buried. As a farmer I have so little free time already and can’t justify listening to a 1 hour podcast for 10-15 minutes of solid info. If you cut the episodes in half and concisely delivered the content, the witty banter would add to...Read full review »

I found this when looking for something on coppice management which led me to the excellent Norway episode. I had my questions about the name of the show but clever, well researched and delivered with lots of matey banter as we say on this side of the atlantic

Not at all what I thought it would be. Thought this was about alternative agriculture, turns out it’s mostly about woke politics. Disappointing

Been listening to this one a while and listened to almost all the episodes. The interviews are outstanding and a lot of the information on revolutionary societies is fantastic. I like almost all the episodes and a very few (like 3?) are platforming people I can’t stand and I think the host(s)...Read full review »

Amazing topics and research. Great guests and interviews. I like the no-nonsense tone of the host, but sometimes the episodes with the whole crew are tedious, because the guys go on side tangents that are inside jokes too often and for too long. Still worth listening because it is full of good...Read full review »

The episode on Climate Change as Complex System is excellent. Makes total sense and is delivered with total recall by the speaker. I listened several times to totally recall what was said. And explicit as well. Excellent (again!)

I’m a market gardener and the information they present is spot on. The discussions here do not distill conventional gardening wisdom into the same morsels found in countless of other gardening resources, but tries to frame it in the context of our place in the evolution of food systems by a...Read full review »

Love all the topics and content of the show. But would prefer a tighter structure and more thoughtful flow. I do get a little sidetracked with the puns and jokes. I understand keeping it light, but man, the Icelandic episode is just sidetracked by all the little asides are distracting.

Good information presented in a calm way. I like the way a huge topic like regenerative agricultural/silvapasture is broken down into relevant pieces. It’s in depth without being overwhelming. Also, the hosts’ chill vibe is perfect when overstimulated by the doom and gloom. Cheers!

What other show can go from indigenous agroforestry in far southern India one week, to an interview with a non-binary firearm safety activist the next ? This show is a mind-bending synthesis of topics usually reserved for jaw-clenching reactionaries or smooth-brained homesteaders, presented by a...Read full review »

I happened on the PPA podcast while in the midst of consuming an ever-growing list of contemporary leftist thought and practice. As a New Englander, (foundering) beekeeper, student of agroecology and herbalism, and a marketer to make ends meet, darn near everything discussed appeals and...Read full review »

I’m interested in all this info and thought I’d stumbled onto exactly what I’ve been looking for. These guys explain highly sophisticated, technical topics thoughtfully and accessibly. It’s like learning from a great college textbook but with corny and endearing jokes. I don’t know they put this out so consistently; they must work so hard for our benefit. Recommend to anyone looking to learn.
