A good teaser to the book but not enough as a standalone
I understand that the point is to tease the book so that people will purchase it and, theoretically, find all the answers they seek. However podcast and print books are two separate spaces that don’t always have the same cross-over audience. It was jumbled in parts, fascinating in others. It was enough to frustrate me for the time spent listening without resolution, but wasn't enough to push me over the edge to seek out the book.Read full review »

I loved Josh Levine’s reporting on this at the end of 2013. This first episode did not disappoint!! I’m excited to listen to the rest of the episodes!

Informative and (at times) poignent, One Year takes a look at seveal different stories from the year 1977. It's episodic, which is a nice change from all the serialized non-fiction shows. For me this is one of the best shows of 2021. A must listen.Read full review »
