Surprising & eye opening
I’m aware of the welfare queen myth and how false, unfair & racist it is. But I was not aware of the real people behind the story, not the titular “welfare queen” and certainly not the journalist who coined the term. I found his story and how it tied in to the perpetuation of this myth extremely fascinating.

I found the subject fascinating but it was a bit repetitive. It definitely felt like a book promotion, rather than a stand alone podcast.

A decently told story about a complicated person. I think I’d be more interested in the story of George Bliss, or Eugene Pincham.
