Great advertisement for the book
Amazing subject matter. Unfortunately this podcast leaves much to be desired and does not tell the whole story and is very unsatisfying. Either the author / host after six years of research hasn’t gotten to the bottom of Linda Taylor’s story, or the rest of the story is in his book. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Levine's cause is pretty clear in this podcast, show that Linda Taylor was not indicative of the stereotypes used by Reagan and others in portraying welfare recipients. This he does fairly well. Fascinating story appetizer for the book. Will definitely read it to learn more about the life and crimes of the original “Welfare Queen” straw-man. Reveals the creation of the trope for corrupt political purposes.
