I am fascinated by the story of Linda Taylor. Having read your extensive Slate piece from a few years ago, I cannot wait for the book! The use of her story by Reagan, in the typical American political employment of the dog whistle, is ironic considering the fact that she was born to a white family and according to your reporting, is recorded as having died in Illinois, as a white woman. So many twists, turns, lies, deceit and possible murder to untangle, beyond her welfare fraud.
