Are you kidding?
I thought this was supposed to be a show that helped listeners get across the news with deep dives on issues that are actually important. A 20 minute “news” podast on how Taylor Swift is infinitely linked to the number 13 , is about as deep as a puddle. If you want to get worked up over numbers, how about some of these? More than 27,000 dead and 66,000 wounded by Israel's offensive in Gaza. Nearly 7 million people displaced due to violence and other atrocities, extreme poverty, and mining expansion for cobalt in the DRC. A recent Guardian Australia investigation found that homeless Australians are dying at age 44 on average. And before any of the Facebook group sycophants try to argue that MM does “light and shade”… Take the rose-coloured glasses off and have a good look at this particular podcast feed (and Out Loud too) for the past month, if not further back. “Stanley, Yeti or Frank Green? What your water bottle says about you.” Seriously? The sticking of fingers in ears and la-la-la-ing while a particular genocide continues to be perpetrated, is just plain shameful. Mamamia truly is the media outlet for women who peaked in high school. Grow up!Read full review »

I really like the format but would prefer more detailed headlines. They are the primary reason I would listen and are quite brief.

The podcast on Britney Spears is portrays people with mental health issues as children. This perpetuates stereotypes. It is important to consider why she is under the protection of a guardian and the privacy an individual deserves, regardless of their position in society, or celebrity status.

Wanted to love it! Great concept & deep dives are interesting but the weekly news stories repeated each day is too annoying.
