Post-election: Reorienting through relationship skills
Listen now
Description
The election is over. Now what? In this new landscape where big change is almost certain, perhaps it's time to reorient to our differences not from political affiliation but through basic relationship skills. When we look at it from this perspective, we can better understand the nuance of the human experience. Intimacy is, after all, the practice of two people learning how to respect their differences while connecting through common ground. In this episode, my guest Lauren Rotunno and I talk about slowing down as a way to digest emotions and realign with the power of the heart. We talk about simple and practical ways to regulate the nervous system as well as a return to basic listening skills. Lauren is a yoga educator who weaves a variety of teachings into her practice, Woven Vessels.
