An even-handed (and funny) analysis
I appreciate the balanced approach the hosts take in analyzing The Rings of Power. They give praise where it’s due but point out where the adaptation deviates from Tolkien’s vision. I learn something every episode thanks to their deep knowledge of all the texts. They share their opinions in a respectful manner and throw in some humor to keep things fun. My enjoyment of the TV show is greatly enhanced by listening to this podcast afterward.

Wow! In one breath they state how similar to todays leftist politics the show is and in the next breath they repeat the show runners claim that modern politics will not drive the show. The show is a woke allegory on todays world and pissing on Tolkien’s work.

Great analysis. With their expert knowledge of the works of Tolkien they fill in the gaps, clarify and highlight the best and worst elements of the show.
