Very Poor And Shockingly Biased Coverage of Sale Incident
Have stuck with this podcast as a filler between all the other funnier and more insightful and interesting rugby podcasts. However, I’ve just listened to the podcast about the Steve Diamond incident and what a completely biased and toe curling embarrassment it was to sports “journalism. They talked in soft, sympathetic tones to the journalist concerned and didn't ask one single probing question or interrogated him at any point, (surely the job of any professional and impartial journalist), instead it was like a counselling session. This is the classic example of press bias in favour of their colleagues at the expense of journalistic integrity. (The nadir was Stephen Jones comparing himself and his colleagues to the campaigning war correspondent that was sadly killed in action). Personally, I’m filing this under “Northern bloke gives reporter a straightener and the hack can’t take it.”Read full review »

Wayne as top referee but Jerome Garces the best!? Surely a man who has sent off 2 All Blacks in recent times must win favour with Jonesey !

Why is this podcast becoming obsessed with women’s rugby? I doubt if more than 5% of rugby followers are interested in the sport yet the podcast spends a disproportionate amount of airtime discussing the women’s game. Why? Who cares?
