Today we are getting a Westsail 32 ready for the ocean. The intended route is offshore from Florida to Puerto Rico, but a large amount of prep and checks need to be done before heading out. I talk about some of the lists and projects we are working through to get ready.

Today I am sharing a podcast that I was a guest on during one of the presentations for a school a few weeks ago. I have really enjoyed speaking to groups of children and helping to spark the imagination of adventure. It was great to sit down and chat with the Head of School, Heather Moore.

My cousin Heather is the definition of a Super Mom, not only does she kill it every day with her three children, but she can find time to sort me out with speaking engagements at local schools near Chicago. Today we compare offshore sailing to raising a family and to be honest, I think I have the easy road without question. Thanks so much for sharing some time and insight into the ultimate adventure, Family Life!

Well, the fall colors are here and it's time to hit the road once again. But before I go, I wanted to chat a little about the upcoming trips, some of the highlights of these speaking events and also some thoughts on the frustrations that come from an imbalance between reality and expectations. It happens all the time out at sea but also in everyday life, so let's talk about it and more importantly getting through and beyond. Thanks for listening and your support!

Time for another solo show after so many wonderful guests. Tonight, from the deep lonely woods of JeromesTown, we pull out the world charts and discuss the topic and route of a non-stop circumnavigation. Everything from currents to wind and everything in-between. I keep the pace up as it is a lot of information to squeeze into an hour but I think I did pretty well. Thanks for listening.

Today I tell the tale of the Falkland Island food drop. This was one of the worst and best days aboard the Mighty Sparrow during the trip around the world. It also taught me so much about resilience and perseverance, both tools that I have carried with me long after the trip was over. Enjoy the show and thanks for listening.

Today I put together a few clips from my last consulting trip on Lake Michigan. I didn't have the big microphones, so I apologize for the audio quality. The Captain and I sailed from Chicago, across the lake and north to South Haven and back, nearly 200 miles. We had good, bad, and ugly weather. Big thanks to the Captain for having me aboard his lovely Catalina 309, what a great trip!
