Two Great Coaches when you need them the most!
First, let me just say, I love this podcast with all my heart. The advice, encouragement, commiseration and insight Meg and Lorien offer up every Friday is genuine, engaging and smart… like really smart. So I always feel like I’m learning something valuable and applicable from them. That said, this podcast is also important to my writing process on a purely motivational level. I’m mostly a film director, but there are certain projects that I find I need to write myself. And, for me, the act of writing can be feel unbridled and SCARY — there are so many potential directions in which a story could go! And I sometimes need to just listen to someone talk about their approach to the craft to get the courage to face that story again. By sharing their challenges and triumphs as writers, Meg and Lorien help me step back up to the page when I feel lost, or defeated, or confused… all those things that storytelling does to you… and for this I'm so grateful.Read full review »
