“Seems like they want to have their cake and eat it too. By that I mean they take seriously depressing issues in Canadian history and throw in comedy, when it suits them. Would these moments of light hearted behavior work in discussing other concentration camps? If not, what makes this different? Overall, how they alternate between the two seems flippant and they seem removed from the story, since they aren't the ancestors of those in power or those who were actually oppressed, maybe we should be hearing a bit more of the people whom were actually oppressed in this instance and ultimately it would be handled in a more stoic fashion.
I'll listen again to see if it's better, but ultimately this podcast is on probation and I've only listened to one episode.”Read full review »
