“I started listening to The Spelunky Showlike because I love Spelunky and I’m looking forward to the sequel but I subscribed because it is a great podcast about games and game design in general. There are some really insightful discussions and interviews with designers of roguelikes (and some arguments about what constitutes a roguelike) so even if you’re not into Spelunky per se I’d highly recommend it. It’s also been invaluable to me in recommending interesting lesser known games that are either roguelike or somewhat adjacent. I also have to commend the sound quality which is generally excellent throughout (even when hosts and guests are in wildly different locations) as this can often be a dealbreaker for me when listening to a new podcast. Keep up the good work!”
