In response to single star reviews:
Special thanks to these obviously well-thought out reviews of a program that has a passionate and entertaining hostess, keen producers and worthwhile content. You haven't managed yet to majorly tip the scales of the bonafide reviews, but I'm sure there will be more of you in the future. Review one: Too many repeats? This is a podcast of a radio show. People who listen to radio shows may sometimes miss an episode and appreciate a repeat. The Splendid Table staff shouldn't be expected to set aside their personal lives just to create unique content for you, a non-paying subscriber to their podcast. This is not a commentary on the show so much as it is a revelation of your own ignorance. Review Two: Lynn is too snooty. True, Lynn's voice got a little under my skin the first time or so that I listened. But after having heard as many episodes as I have, it seems hilarious to me that anyone would accuse Lynn of snootiness. She assumes nothing of her listeners' knowledge base other than the pure joy derived from cooking, baking, growing and eating food. This is Minnesota public radio, for goodness' sake. The woman lives in MINNESOTA, for crying out loud. That's a humbling choice. (No offense to Minnesotans; but it's cold there in the winter and muggy and mosquito-ridden in the summer, and despite all of its smaller, interior lakes, seems sandwiched by land on all borders.) This review seemed like nothing but a shameless plug for a competing podcast. Review Three: If you don't like it, don't listen. Don't write reviews about the fact that episode info is missing so you don't know which one NOT to listen to. That just tells me your review system is a little off-balance because you will refuse to listen to a show based on some brief copy that doesn't need to be embedded with an episode, but is-out of pure consideration. Text that has very little to do with the overall quality of the audio broadcast or its host. That's almost as asinine as saying you don't like the podcast because of its album artwork. ::steps down from soapbox::Read full review »

I love this show. I learn something from LRK every time I listen to this show. She is a true "cook's cook" and SO creative. I love how she riffs on ideas, not needing recipes. If you're one of those "I can only cook with a recipe" cooks, run, don't walk, to Stitcher and listen to this pod cast....Read full review »
