The Thing About Pam
Two days after Christmas, 2011, Russ Faria came home from game night to find his wife, Betsy, dead. He was soon charged and convicted of her murder. But Russ Faria insisted he did not kill his wife. Betsy’s brutal murder set off a chain of events that would leave one man dead, another man implicated, and expose a diabolical scheme. It would also see Dateline NBC—the true-crime original—become a part of the never-ending saga that proves the old adage: Truth is stranger than fiction. This original series from Keith Morrison and Dateline defies all expectations.

Way Stretched Out
A lot of fake tension and the podcast feels stretched out to make for a bigger series. Also seemed like a lot of false endings and the last part just goes on and on. Really frustrating. Plus - the “personal connection” to Dateline is way overplayed and no big deal at all.

No thanks.
The narrator’s voice was too annoying for me to get into the story. I stopped at episode 2.

Best Narrator
Enjoyable listening while I made dinner and folded my laundry last night. I’m pretty sure Bill Hader of SNL drew inspiration from Keith Morrison for some of his classic skits. Oh Pam!

A 911 call. An intruder killed. Or was it something more sinister?

The greeting seemed innocuous, but not for long.
