Engaging, enthralling, awesome
Since 'Serial' became a hit, the world of podcasts has become compacted with true crime stories... there are WAY too many. The Thread is a wonderful, refreshing escape from the glutton of true crime stories, and takes you through the engaging and enthralling links between seemingly unrelated events in pop culture and social history. I LOVE this podcast. The host (and writer) Sean Braswell is an excellent storyteller. He includes interviews with relatable people to help move the story along, which always helps (ANY podcast). This is also a great listen because it's not 1000 episodes. It's an easy listen, and doesn't frustrate you like atrue crime story would. It's great to listen to in the car, too... and if you have a long commute like I do, you can sometimes knock out two episodes. I HIGHLY recommend this podcast... and look forward to future seasons.Read full review »

An intriguing story of how politics, celebrity, literature, and our cultural understanding is intertwined...
