Welcome to Day Twelve of our 30-day meditation practice. Today we will focus on mindful walking. I share a little guidance but invite you to take time to have your own experience. Mindful walking benefits physical, mental and emotional health by reducing stress, increasing focus and awareness, improving mood, enhancing health, stimulating creativity, and fostering a spiritual connection with nature and the universe. Begin your mindful walk by finding a peaceful outdoor spot like a nature trail, park, or quiet street. Pause and take a few deep breaths, feeling the air moving in and out of your body. Allow each exhale to release any tension or stress in your body. Observe your surroundings with all your senses - notice the colours, smells, sounds, and textures. Stay mindful of your breath and gently refocus your attention if your mind wanders. Stay present in the moment and notice your body moving, your feet touching the ground, and the temperature around you. Observe any thoughts or emotions that arise without judgment. At the end of your walk, take a moment to appreciate your surroundings and express gratitude for the opportunity to take this mindful walk.  Take a few more deep breaths before continuing with your day. Remember that you can practice this exercise anywhere, anytime, to help reduce stress and increase mindfulness in your daily life. See you tomorrow for Day Thirteen.
