Welcome to Day Nine of our 30-day meditation practice. Today we will bring focus to our body, welcoming our body.
Begin by finding a comfortable seated or lying down position. Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly. Close your eyes and bring your awareness to your body. Feel the surface beneath you, and feel the weight of your body as it sinks into the surface.
Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly, and as you exhale, release any tension in your body. Allow yourself to completely relax and let go.
Now, bring your awareness to your feet. Feel the soles of your feet and your toes. Imagine a warm, comforting light surrounding your feet, healing and soothing any tension or discomfort.
Move your awareness up to your legs. Feel the muscles in your calves, your shins, and your thighs. Imagine the same warm, comforting light surrounding your legs, soothing any tension or discomfort.
Now, bring your awareness to your abdomen and chest. Feel the rise and fall of your breath, and the beating of your heart. Imagine a warm, comforting light surrounding your chest and abdomen, healing and soothing any tension or discomfort.
Next, bring your awareness to your arms and hands. Feel your biceps, your forearms, and your hands. Imagine the same warm, comforting light surrounding your arms and hands, healing and soothing any tension or discomfort.
Finally, bring your awareness to your head and neck. Feel the muscles in your neck and the sensation of your scalp. Imagine a warm, comforting light surrounding your head and neck, healing and soothing any tension or discomfort.
Visualise this warm, comforting light filling your entire body, bringing healing and restoration to every part of your being.
As you continue to breathe deeply, repeat these affirmations to yourself: "My body is a vessel. I hold it with love, kindness, and compassion. My body is a temple."
Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly. When you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take a moment to ground yourself before continuing with your day. Thank the universe for this moment of healing and connection with your body.
