“As a first-time reader of The Lord of the Rings, this podcast has given me deeper insight into the world of Tolkien and a fun way of dialoguing with it. While my faith was the road that led me to Tolkien, this and other sources gave me an appreciation for his work in and of itself. As a Catholic seminarian, I appreciate the strong case you make for religion as an influence of Tolkien's: as something fundamentally present in his writing, not just something religious people "read into it."
