I was a true crime junkie before it was cool, and this podcast helps feed my addiction. I love that it features more obscure cold cases; if you're like me, you've heard a lot of the same cases told on different networks and are getting tired of it. I actually like the music - it makes the mood of the story more real. So does Robin's technique of presenting the case like a conversation rather than a lecture. The flow is effective - a basic description of the case so you develop theories, Robin's own theories with "new" details that make you rethink your opinion, and questions that challenge and egg you on to really wanting to solve that case. He is very receptive to listener questions, theories, and comments; his replies rarely take longer than a day, and he seems genuinely interested in his listeners' ideas. The staff are really good at what they do - the editing is flawless, the music is effective, and the network doesn't need ads to keep the podcast free. It's also safe for work - I listen to it in my office. There are times I do have to engage in discrete listening, though, due to sexual nature of some crimes/situations. I'm glad it's weekly now instead of once every two weeks, but I still can't help but want more!Read full review »

He ends by reviewing the facts and presents his theories on what might have happened but leaves it up to the audience to come to their own conclusion. The eerie...Read full review »

I listen to around 15 true crime podcasts on a regular basis, and this one is my favorite. One, he keeps to a schedule; some podcasts will go 3-6 weeks without a new episode. Second, he does not add a lot of extra fluff, as some podcast hosts seem just want to talk to hear themselves. Lastly, he...Read full review »
