My grandfather fought in the infantry and was hit in the leg. He passed away and now learning about World War 2 is the way I feel connected to him. I saw part of movie and enjoyed every part.

My great gradfather fought on the front lines in germany. Orderd to kill innocent women and children. But as said in gran toreno what haunts a man the most is what he is not orderd to do. He gained shellshock during the war he was never the same.

Everything that Ken Burns puts his hands to is brilliant, this is his best work ever. For the first time, we get to see what it was like during WWII on the homefront, what it was like for American families, staying at home to work and to worry. The perspective of looking at what happened through...Read full review »

My father,PFC Loren Shiflett, Co "B", 4th Amored replacement battalion, rarely spoke of his experiences during the war. He spent January of 1945, in Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge and later on moved through into Germany and Czechoslovakia. I finally understand why he was reluctant to...Read full review »

We as Americans’ need to remember that these freedoms we love came at a cost. Thank you again and I look forward to more episodes like these. Thank...Read full review »

I daresay I shall definetly be watching this when it is finally on TV. I am waiting with baited breath hoping that this podcast isn't a built up version showing only the best parts. This is something that, I believe, will be worth watching.
