This is a well produced podcast with three super likable hosts (how’s that possible?!) full of great tips and information about the stuff we all need and use.

In the Information Age, this is the kind of thing I’m looking for. Fun, light hearted, and well informed opinions on what to look for and why.

So…. She thinks toasting a bagel is cooking? And her best tip for cooking for one is to utilize your freezer? Jesus. She had zero to offer. I’m shocked she’s employed.

How can you believe reviews when they use the products for only a brief time? I don’t like the silly banter either. Skip this one.

This show is chock-full of good information and helpful solutions to everyday life issues. Thank you!

These hosts are loud, chatty coastal elite types who seem more focused on being trendy and polished than substantive in their content. Let the veteran wirecutter writers that have been there since before the acquisition host and have their own conversations about quality goods. Too many...Read full review »

As the NYT started to bring to life many new podcasts, I am assuming following the huge success of The Daily of which I am a loyal listener….. I saw The Wirecutter was added. I was intrigued!! I receive the newsletter and find it an invaluable source of info on just about everything But I found...Read full review »

I absolutely love this podcast, it’s informative, light hearted, and overall just a good listen!

The hosts’ humorous asides are not funny and clog the show with syrupy sweet garbage.

Hello, I enjoyed your laundry episode via Hard Fork. I wish it also covered LINT. The best products to use to remove it, how to stop getting those little dots of lint on my clothes even when all my lint screens are clean. Lint when you have long-haired pets… also, STATIC. Laundry, Part 2? I...Read full review »

These guys apparently want to help end the innocence and childhood of your kids. Anyone telling you that it’s ok for a middle schooler to have access to a cellphone and that it’s a “teaching opportunity” for you as a parent should not be listened to.

Such an odd format to discuss what are essentially product tips and reviews. Never heard ladies sit around gabbing about products irl. Really interested in the content, but ultimately unsubscribed due to the format.

Also, a lot of people in these comments really hate hearing women laugh. If that’s you, it might be time for some introspection. Why does a woman experiencing a moment of joy or levity bother you so much? And why is it so hard for you to accept well-researched and reported advice from a team of...Read full review »

I’m just listening to the episode on rats and mice. I’m hanging in because I need the information but I’ve just listened to at least 10 minutes of useless chitchat. There seem to be many hosts and I don’t need to know their personal history of the subject.

I don’t have a ton of time to read all the things on wire cutter so I like this over view. It’s such a chill listen too like low stakes not a complex topic just like friends chatting about good buys. I’m a fan I like the length. Worth a follow!

Wanted to like this podcast. I love the wire cutter website content and use it all the time. Loved the first couple episodes about things like laundry and air purifiers, which seemed broadly applicable and universal, but it’s shifted to seemingly random topics like today’s episode about...Read full review »

I like the wire cutter I have them in my news reader but this show is nothing like the articles it’s just another below average boring podcast that gives people (not so bright people read the laundry review) ideas that are common sense. I am a regular reader of Wirecutter and was excited to find the podcast. However, after listening to my first episode, the near-constant giggling of the hosts detracted from the content sufficiently that I have already unsubscribed. Love how in depth the podcast goes into how these product recommendations are made. The microplastics and laundry ones were particularly helpful

I listened to the laundry episode and found the group dynamic of the hosts charming and engaging. And I will be changing the way I do laundry now. Looking forward to learning and laughing more!

I, too, enjoy the dynamic between the hosts and the efficient way they get right to the point with the experts. I also love that last question. I’ll be listening every week (and probably buying every week as well…).

Had to stop listening due to the ear splitting giggling. Makes you sound like little girls instead of grown people.

I’m enjoying the show so far but the sound editing is a little weird…. It’s a little too “crisp” or something. I can hear way more voice/mouth sounds than I need to! And I also don’t like the weird crunching and other sounds that are for some reason included. I don’t need to hear pouring liquid...Read full review »

I follow Wirecutter in The NY Times and had high hopes for the podcast. I listened to the episode about emergencies and there was not one mention of what to do if you live in a high rise apartment, as do millions. We also need to prepare for emergencies, only differently, and we have no basement...Read full review »

Info is interesting but podcast thinks women giggling constantly is entertaining. It is not. Suffering thru the giggles is not worth the info!

I want the lady’s job who tests sheets and does laundry! Super informative to decode the marketing language of a good sheet purchase. I realize I have hated my sheets most of my life. Also raise your hand if you had no idea JCPenney still had a heartbeat?!🙋‍♀️

I like the idea, but the hosts and the convo vibe is very women-centric. And it doesn’t need to be, if the podcast wants to appeal to both genders. The podcast sounds like a caty, women’s book club at times, and it turns off half the population of listeners who aren’t trying to tune into a...Read full review »

I tried to (and wanted to!) listen to this podcast but had to turn it off. I found it unlistenable due to the cutesy-ness and because the hosts think they’re funny. They’re not. They’re infomercial funny. Just the facts, please.

The show would be better if not so much giggling. The women remind me of a bunch of teenagers together.

I was excited to check out the Wirecutter podcast. I did learn some new things about laundry but I was very put off by the delivery that felt like something from the 1950’s. No, we really don’t. Wirecutter product reviews are admittedly useful, even though we all know it’s a giant money grab for the NYTimes. But this podcast is excessive.
