What a fascinating conversation. What really struck a chord with me was talking about the eating disorder that Caitlin’s daughter had and how hard it was to accept that her daughter needed her to just be. It was a hard lesson to learn and I am sure will resonate with a lot of parents as we see it as our role to fix the things that are troubling our children. It also delighted me that Julia could admit to hating her children at times. That felt like a dark place to be and very brave to own up to. It made me feel a lot better about my own shortcomings as a parent.

I always look forward to a new episode. As someone in my own therapy, I am always in awe of the guests ability to be so vulnerable and open. Julia’s approach is lovely and I love to hear Emily and Sophie’s thoughts at the end. Keep up the great work!
