“In many ways I'm out of the target audience for this podcast — I'm a little older, only a modest movie buff, and don't really follow awards. And yet, this is the one show I listen to the second it posts. Why? There are a lot of podcasts about all-time great movies, and a lot more taking down terrible movies, but this one goes in an intriguingly different direction, spending time dissecting middlebrow semi-failures. “Two movie journalists who definitely know both the business and movie and Oscar history do a chatty, funny and really interesting podcast on movies that had buzz but couldn’t make the Oscar cut. The dynamics behind that are a lot more fascinating than I thought they would be. Highly recommended!!”
