Great podcast, but the most recent episode #316 is a replay.

The idiot talking about his story was creepy with a voice that was disgusting. Extremely hard to listen to and stopped listening after 10 mins. What a waste of otherwise really riveting stories. You should vet your submissions better and not keep creeps on your platform.

I don’t recall how I stumbled to this podcast but I’m a huge fan. The stories are riveting.

have not throughly thought through the message behind these stories and certainly don’t live in the shoes of the people sharing their stories. No one is forcing you to listen and if you’re basing your rating off of ONE episode, you are clearly missing out. This podcast has been a great way to...Read full review »

I’ve found this podcast to just be okay but the last story about Amy and her childhood was just too much. She’s unstable and crying every other sentence. If you’re not emotionally stable enough to get through any of your story without crying, maybe it would be better spoken in therapy. I’m sorry...Read full review »

Great show but some stories seem like people coming on to sulk and/or feed their egos. The latest one was extremely hard to get through (the one with Amy Ronhaar). The fake crying every 5 minutes. The constant victimhood narrative. The ungrateful-ness of realizing her foster parents didn’t need...Read full review »

Just taking a break from the current episode that I am listening to to give 5 stars. I want to say that the story teller is having a hard time, and is very emotional- I feel bad for the person, but the story seems to be about a recklessness with relationships, a lack of empathy and understanding...Read full review »

This girl and her life is beyond pitiful and boring- over this podcast and trying to find a good episode.

Most episodes are good but this guy….what is is rambling on about??? He makes no sense. His dime store psychobabble was unbearable.

I recently discovered this podcast and I am hooked! It is fantastic and I am working my way through all of the episodes. Most of the episodes are riveting. But episode 296 is totally contrived, phony and just fake. It was the episode of an anonymous and annoying narrator in which she talks about...Read full review »

I love this but for some episodes you have to pay and those are the really interesting looking ones and the amount of ads and they are always the same .love show I love that the own person who experienced the events can tell their own story unlike other podcasts

The most recent episode wasn’t edited well:( It jumps around and repeats itself. Otherwise, great podcast!

As a Canadian, I was touched by Erin Goodpipe’s perspectives on the shameful practices and attitudes that continue to affect the lives of indigenous peoples today. Her personal insights and experiences are inspirational.

I’ve been listening for years. Every story is impactful, different, unpredictable, genuine and memorable. The recent episode (#308) of Whit (the host) telling his own story of a recent incident is insightful and truly moving and a beautiful reflection of all of the stories told here by others....Read full review »

I find it quite interesting listening to these people’s stories. Makes me realize how blissfully normal my life is. I can also relate to some of these tales and this makes me feel normal too. My only complaint is how much talk there is about god and religion. It’s such an American thing and I...Read full review »

I do not remember how I came across this podcast, but when I did I was all in. I especially took to the episodes of personal experience to Black Americans experiences. I used to love this podcast because it was a real variety of stories- grizzly bears, drug smuggling etc but now I just feel like it’s SO depressing. I wasn’t sure I would like this, but I’m definitely addicted to this podcast. I love hearing people tell their stories about events that transformed their understanding of themselves, the world, and humanity. I’ve been through a lot of trauma in my life so these stories make me feel less alone. 💜

Insufferable. A bunch of nothing. Sounds completely out of touch with the real world. It seems like he’s reading. Acting as though it’s off the top of his head. Self-important. Insincere. I enjoyed this podcast for a while. Although, lost some faith when a certain speaker came on. He talked about his wife having Multiple Personality Disorder. It came across as extremely made up/fake. So, I feel these stories are not confirmed or actual. But, it’s a podcast.
