Disappointed
I have enjoyed the Fall of Rome podcast and was excited to see this new series. However, after the episode with Jeet Heer, I stopped. That the Trump presidency can be dragged into a series on the formation of the modern state is an indication of the sheer magnitude of the Trump Derangement Syndrome - enough of which already finds voice in American life. I did not vote for him. He will end up being a blip on the American narrative. I really don't need any more gratuitous mentions in a forum so unrelated. I'm sorry.Read full review »

If you're used to the Dan Carin and Mike Duncan style of production then skip this podcast. The narration is constantly overwhelmed by needless underscoring. Listened to the first two and found my insatiable thirst for knowledge nearly quenched for the day. If you want lots of thoughtful and articulate accounts of histories that you may have not previously known of, this is the Poscast for you.
