I love listening to these while I’m driving long distances. Toby speaks so eloquently about Doctor Who and it doesn’t matter if you don’t watch along, as long as you know the stories. He’s perfect in this - interesting and humorous. The fan’s fan.

If you’re here and wondering about trying this podcast, save your time and just download it. You will not regret it. Toby is honestly so inciteful, informative and knowledgeable about his subject matter, as well as being wise about life itself. It’s compelling listening. Always amusing and...Read full review »

Like a favourite – possibly question mark-adorned and quite probably moth-eaten – jumper or cardigan, Toby’s perceptive, intelligent musings on Doctor Who stories are my ultimate comfort listen. Never fails to lift my spirits and can honestly say his positively-inclined attitude (even where there...Read full review »

Toby’s wonderful “positively inclined” approach to Doctor Who consumption has greatly influenced my own enjoyment of the programme and made me appreciate it in new and exciting ways. And in some pleasurably stupid ways as well. WARNING: prolonged exposure to Toby’s Doctor Who analyses runs the...Read full review »

Toby’s podcast is an absolute delight. Fan of black and white Who? 70s/80sWho? ‘New’ Who? Really New Who? There’s something here for everyone. Toby’s approach to Who can be summed up in two words: ‘Be Kind’. He may sometimes be constructively critical, but is never cruel or cowardly. Seriously:...Read full review »

The ‘Too Much Information’ podcasts are particularly brilliant. Incredible depth of research. I listened to the podcast about ‘the Sea of Death’ (part 1 of the Keys of Marinus) today and I loved hearing about the lives and work of the two actors who appeared in that one episode only. Amazing work.

Toby’s “Doctor Who” podcasts always give good value, and have a reputation for having an even-handed approach to handling both the rough and the smooth that the programme and its fans have given to the world across its sixty-plus year history. I always enjoy a good audio essay, but these...Read full review »

The perfect Doctor Who podcast for those of us who like to read the credits. Full of random knowledge about various people involved in the show. Like sitting down the pub chatting about who you spotted where doing what.

Reliably charming, funny and informative. I like to think I know a fair bit about Doctor Who whatever the era but every episode Toby comes up with something I didn’t know before.

I know so little about telebiogenesis but I know what makes a good podcast. Great fun and lots to listen to. Been watching Four To Doomsday, which is how I ended up here. Needless to say, this is better than that serial.

Only recently fell upon Toby’s podcasts but thoroughly enjoy them. As a fan of DW since the ‘70s, it has been great to revisit eps that I’ve not seen for a while and makes me realise how great many of the new series stories are too. Toby’s positivity is much needed…long it continue!

I was Doctor Who aware in the 80s. A cousin had a wardrobe styled as a TARDIS and there were 25th anniversary adverts for Doctor Who magazine in the pages of the Ghostbusters comic. I was more interested in Red Dwarf and Count Duckula but the Doctor was always in the corner of my eye running...Read full review »
