“In concept the idea of Today, Explained is great: Have experts talk about the news of the day. I know it's still early but the show does not hold a candle to the leader in the pack of "daily news podcast" which is The Daily by The New York Times.
Sean is a good host but if you listen to other Vox podcasts (The Weeds, Wordly, etc.) it will get tiring because the guest voices are not new. The subject matter is strong albeit a bit repetitive if you follow The Daily or another daily news podcast.
Finally, this podcast is way overproduced. Too much music, too many weird interludes, etc. Please keep it simple.”Read full review »
