“I was really disappointed in your latest episode on Silence of the Lambs. I’m not opposed to appreciating the film despite its transphobic and fatphobic elements, but to hear you validate it by affirming that size 14 women are large, fat women as the film implies is really disheartening. Do you know what a size 14 woman looks like? While she may be larger than a size 4 woman she’s far from the “great big fat person” Buffalo Bill describes. I realize your main shtick is that you’re “scared,” but if you’re going to put a feminist spin on it like you tried to do here, actually put some thought into your words. FYI, the average American woman today is a size 14. Hoping you will address this in your next episode as I usually enjoy this podcast.”
