#179 How I Built A 7 Figure Accounting Firm And Spend Less Than 5 Hours A Week Running It
Listen now
Description
I left PwC in January 2008 to buy a small accounting firm. Just weeks later, the world went into financial meltdown—the 2008 crisis. I was the guy mortgaged to the hilt, taking a 70% pay cut, trading my cozy PwC job for the unknown, right in the middle of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. People thought I was crazy. But what’s even crazier? How I ran that business in the first 5 years! I made every mistake possible. No one teaches you how to price, win work, or manage a team in accountancy training. I was working crazy hours, undercutting to win clients, and micromanaging everything. It took a chance webinar in 2014 to completely change my business. I scaled to £1 million and finally got out of the day-to-day grind. Hear the full story in this 60-minute interview with my star student, Tej Gill. It’s all on my YouTube channel.
