I enjoyed the podcast discussing travel guides, but was a little surprised you didn't mention the book that got many of us boomers stated on lifetimes of travel: AF's Europe on $5 a Day. It is pretty obvious that boomers aren't your target demo (" the gram"... really ?), but many of us have (hopefully) lots of trips left, and not just group tours and cruises. I really like it and think it's super interesting. I just hated the LA ep, like when someone was saying her old company was SO CHEAP because they put her up in the Viceroy (a nice, luxury hotel) and she always tries to stay at Shutters (they didn't mention it starts at $700/night).
